F is for... Free Time

F is for... Free time to explore!

One of the mistakes we made the year we lived in Turkey was to fall into the work/home/local friends cycle. We forgot how close we were to other parts of Europe, and we forgot to travel further afield!

Partly it was our overlapping work schedules that made travelling difficult, but we could have done it if we'd tried.

So while in Geneva our goal is to get away on the weekends! Italy, Germany, France, the rest of Switzerland... Here's hoping we don't miss out on anything!

Meanwhile, we're only just scratching the surface of the city:

Some nice pictures. I like churches, they are interesting places to visit. My partner is a Christian.

Thank you. Love love, Andrew. Bye.

Great places to visit! Where in Turkey did you live? That country is one of favorites.
The countries are as close as states here in the USA - go exploring!

What a great opportunity! We tend to visit those places within driving distance, so it's important to get those trips in while you're living somewhere.
Hi Deniz .. that's a great idea - and there's so many places to go to too ... and great that you've worked out you need to explore and see the other countries, towns and cities - while enjoying that mountain air and countryside around you ..

Cheers Hilary
I'm running into the same thing here in Cuenca, Ecuador. Looking forward to the end of April so we have more time to visit other areas around here.
